Yi He, Binance’s co-founder and head of Binance Labs, said the firm is pledging its full support to the DEX “given recent events that have impacted the protocol."  The firm says in exchange for the investment, Curve will deploy to BNB Smart Chain. The protocol currently operates on multiple chains, having been originally based on Ethereum, and serves as one of decentralized finance's (DeFi's) biggest market makers with several hundred pools in use. Upcoming Ethereum update stimulates liquid staking token growth

Liquid staking token s (LSTs) have begun to pick up momentum this month as the second half of the year edges closer toward a highly anticipated Ethereum upgrade. Dubbed Cancun-Deneb (or “Dencun” for short), the upgrade — expected sometime in the fourth quarter of this year — will see the introduction of a mechanism known as “blob-carrying transactions.” Liquid staking providers, especially Lido, have gained significant traction, underlining users’ preference for greater liquid ity and flexibility in their staking activities, blockchain analytics firm Glassnode wrote in a research note on Monday. As such, protocols and assets linked with staked ETH are delivering outsized gains when compared to other major digital assets in the market on the week. As of 5 am ET, the governance token for liquid staking solution Lido DAO (LDO), has jumped about 11% and 24% on 1-week and 2-week timeframes respectively. Top South Korean banks gear up for a $27B security token market

Several major lenders across South Korea have reportedly joined a bank consortium dedicated to security token offerings (STOs). In April, Seoul-based NongHyup established the consortium with the aim of creating an ecosystem centered around security tokens. In the context of South Korea, these are blockchain- or DLT-powered versions of traditional investments such as stocks or bonds, but could also confer share ownership or other rights in real estate, investment funds and even artwork. The Korea Herald reported Thursday that Hana Bank, Shinhan Bank and Woori Bank have now joined the NongHyup’s consortium. The group includes other fintech companies like Funble, Trackchain (a subsidiary of fintech Aton) and Artipio, bringing the total number of members to 18. Blockworks has reached out to NongKyup for comment. South Korea legalized security token offerings earlier this year, responding to the rising demand and popularity of digital assets domestically and abroad. South Korea’s F...
