Pond0x reported that its DEX reached $100 million in cumulative volume, citing a Dune dashboard as evidence. The Pond0X decentralized exchange (DEX) has reached more than $100 million in total trading volume, according to a September 28 social media post from its official channel. Investors previously lost over $2 million in the launch of the exchange’s native token, PNDX, when the coin turned out to have a transfer function that allowed anyone to transfer it without the owner's permission. NFTs have taken a massive hit since the 2021 bull market, but some experts say they could make a comeback. Nonfungible tokens (NFTs) saw a massive surge in popularity in 2021, accompanied by sky-high prices, but the market has since come crashing back to earth, and it’s unclear whether there will be a resurgence .  NFTs are unique digital tokens recorded on a blockchain to certify ownership and authenticity. They can’t be copied or substituted but can be transferred and sold by their owner. According to analytics platform NFTGo, the NFT market cap valued in Ether (ETH) is down 40.59% over the past year at the time of writing, with trading volume down 40.81%. The market cap in U.S. dollars is down 41.16%, and its volume has dropped 66.77%. Disney wants a Lawyer to deal with Blockchain, NFTs, Metaverse

Yuga Labs acquires Beeple’s 10KTF game, hints at metaverse integration

Once the acquisition is completed, the company said that Beeple will be hired as an advisor for Yuga Labs. Yuga Labs, creators of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), has acquired 10KTF — the nonfungible token (NFT) game founded by digital artist Michael Winkelmann, also known as Beeple. 10KTF is a browser-based NFT game that allows players to outfit heroes with crafted items and load-outs in order to complete missions. Missions reward players with APE coins, badges, materials and free airdrops. The game also intends to include many items that could be worn by an avatar in the future; pairs of socks and backpacks are popular items from the game’s collection. FC Barcelona secures $132M investment for blockchain and NFT venture

The football club has been keen on creating nonfungible token collections for much of the past year. Spanish football club FC Barcelona has secured a €120 million ($132 million) investment from Libero Football Finance AG and Nipa Capital B.V. for its Web3 initiative Barça Vision. According to the Aug. 11 announcement, FC Barcelona sold a 29.5% stake in Bridgeburg Invest, the holding company for Barça Vision, in exchange for the capital. "Barça Vision is the Club's initiative to integrate all digital content around Web3 and blockchain including nonfungible tokens (NFTs) and metaverse, which are part of the Club's strategy to build the digital Espai Barça," developers wrote.
