Australian police seize $1.5m in crypto from dark web drug dealer

Australian police have arrested a 25-year-old man for reportedly selling illegal drugs on the dark web. The arrest was made in Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Police also seized crypto assets worth approximately $1.5 million and tens of thousands of dollars in cash. The arrests come as a part of an investigation into the Hong Kong-based platform, which has reportedly operated without a valid license and has been at the center of complaints amounting to a staggering 1 billion Hong Kong dollars ($127.8 million). Israeli police links local businessman to $290 million crypto scam

Israeli police are accusing Moshe Hogeg of fraud and allege that he was involved in a $290 million crypto scam. They now want state prosecutors to charge him. According to local reports, police claim that Hogeg might have committed multiple crimes, ranging from wire fraud, theft, money laundering, and sex-related offenses where he raised $290 million by primarily scamming investors to participate in fake crypto projects.
